A poison so different and vast
It courses through one's veins
Through the blood stream
Through the senses
It's effects not always visible
To some non-existant
But often the end result
Death.
Beware the poison
Which allures and seduces
Its potent effects
Everlasting.
It not only cripples the affected
But all those around it
Many times it appears to be a drawn out affair
Others like a battle won here
But others still
Like the hand of a clock steady and true
The poison wins the war
