Sapphires and Emeralds
I watched rainbows,
Play across the sapphire blue waves.
As the sun sparkled,
Through the wind blown waves.
I thought of you my love,
So very far away.
And held both of these jewels of memory,
To help me through the cloudy days.
*
That night as the sea,
Rocked me gently into slumber.
I found my spirit set free,
And was again in the arms of you my lover.
Far from the sapphire blue waves,
And the wide open skies.
Into the emerald green pastures,
Within the beautiful stoney rises.
*
I awaken from my astral travel,
To the golden light of sunrise.
With a clear head and eyes,
And I'd finally come to realise.
That my two great loves,
Will always be divided.
And the only within my heart,
Can I hold you both side by side.
