Tears

Tears fall down swollen cheeks.
Promise once made,that can't be keeped.
Life without another,
words from a lonely mother.
With dreams that smother,
Wishing for a dead sleep.
 
A bed soo cold,
a heart that feels old.
A spirit lays broken,
in a world of unspoken.
Truths of the soul,
of lies forever told.
By the ones she once loved,
how can God above,
bring forth such pain.
What does he hope to gain?
 
In my pain and sadness,
I pray for such madness.
To take me away,
so I can remember the day.
When my world was so blessed,
to have a life with much rest.
For my soul to sore high,
for having that special guy.
Telling me I'm his everything,
that nothing will ever be the same.
To hold and take care of me,
and never lie and make my heart bleed.
 
A dream that never lives,
to a mother who always gives.
The love of a million tears,
to the unwanted fears.
For the heart that crys out,
for what love is all about.
All that is left of me,
is the tears that fall down,
my swollen, red cheeks
