My Book

You know, I've seen to many people come and go,

in and out of my life, as if it was Louisiana snow.

Some stay and last a lifetime,

others just come through as if they are just passing by.

It's the ones that don't stay long,

that I wondering if I had done wrong.

If I should of gave more,

or should of opened up to the core.

Maybe they would of stayed,

from the love that I could of gave.

To the place in my heart they could of held,

because I love like no other, only a few can tell

That it may only be an emotion

but it is something that can cause a commotion

to have in your life, to someday be a wife

With two beautiful kids, that it don't matter if they are his

because they are part of me,

and are a joyous sight to see.



I feel I can sometimes be an open book

left wide open for anyone to look

my book has been abused and torn

pages ripped out,the cover well worn

Words have faded as true love was taken

Ripped from the heart of this one now shaken

How can life hold me here, with all this love and wear and tear

To try and build back up for my kids

Is just as hard as living again

How will my book end?

Can the pages be mended and wrote again?



My Lord says they can

He promises that they will

All I have to do is kneel

on my knees and heart opened

for me and you, he will never forget our love

because how I feel, is how he feels from up above

because we break his heart and rip his words apart

some without knowledge others without guilt

but we are his children, we are his quilt

the ones he created

stitch for stitch, inch for inch

we are his true love, we are his hearts book

And if you trust in him, your book can be rewrote

with a new cover and binding that can never be broke

For this is to you, my lord and almighty father

The one who sits next to me

the only one who sees me as a daughter

Without you, I don't know where I would of been

Because now I have a new book

A new life

in Jesus name, AMEN ♥
