What I have discovered

Several years I have had this bed
To rest and lay my head
When I got up my back did not feel right
I noticed something new tonight

The futon bed is broken
As I just have awoken
A metal bar is cracked into two
Now I know what I have to do

It it time to get a new one
A journey that has only just begun
My eyes burn and yearn for sleep
As the mattress sinks a inch more deep

Very low to the ground
When it broke it didn't even make a sound
Now the time has come for it to be replaced
The memory of it will never be erased

What type of bed should I get?
A choice done carefully with no regret
I rub my eyes once more
As I wonder what else is in store

The back injury hurts like hell
Beyond what words can ever tell
Every move, bump and turn
In my my car I feel the pain, discomfort and burn

As I stretch i hear it pop like so
Very common like tension from head to toe
Back to bed I need to be
Working 6-2, the rest of the day I'll be free

A solution to this issue will be found
My mind continues to jump around
The whole day is often in replay
This is period of time I wish not to stay
