Little miss muffet
sat there and puffed it
she binged and she purged all day
then along came her daddy
who wanted her badly
so he sat on her muffin all day.
I am not trying to offend anyone with my poems, but the reality is - child abuse is extremely ugly. Those who have been thru it know just how devastatingly it affects your life.
If you think anyone is being abused or even have just an inkling that it's happening, it is your moral responsibility to try and help that child, else you become just like the mothers who close their eyes to it because it is just too damned ugly to think about or deal with. Thank you

Thank you. It seems to me that all children who go through abuse like this, form a sisterhood and brotherhood. An invisible connection brought on by the terrible things we indured as children. Things normal people can't understand because the ugliness of it is too painful for them.
I aim to change that. The ugliness no one wants to hear about? Those days are over. I'm in their face with it. Only when people understand what we went through by actually putting their selves in our minds, will they realize that it is their responsibility as a human being to help stop this epidemic that is destroying our children today.

I love your poems so much. My father molested me for 4 years of my life, and beat me for 13. Child abuse, sexual or not, is a terrible thing. Its great to see someone bringing awareness to it.

Sexual abuse is not talked about enough and thank you, but it was the message at the end that grabbed me. Children need to be protected and standing by when you have that "inkling" makes you just as guilty. What hell a child must be living when they are being abused and people just know and let it happen. I have a daughter and would die if someone knew and did not bring it to my attention because they did not want to get involved. thanks sis.

Sweeping it under the rug is no longer an option.I often wonder at what point mothers loose their maternal instinct and others their humanity, to be able to know what's going on, yet do nothing. Except let it keep on. Thanx

Abuse of any person young or old is, in my opinion, just plain sick! Like you, I wish there was none in the world.
