Chapter 4: The pilgrimage to Mt. Valmai
The once great warrior Pangeru was far too old to fight the Blue Horde, but his son Cyrikus was soon to be 600. Having the tenacity of his almost 5,000 year old father, he constantly argued that it was his inherited duty to defeat any threats to his people. Repeatedly he ran from Mistheart's keep in search of the fabled Omega Stone so he could become a Termatla. And repeatedly he failed to get past the front gate. One day after a particularly heated arguement with Pangeru, he stumbled across an old beggar. He was known for being mad, but Cyrikus listened in on him for a while. What others thought was a rambling madman, Cyrikus realized that this senile beggar was once a trusted confidant of Pangeru. Cyrikus asked him what he remembered of his time serving his father, and amongst the fluctuating topics, he blurted out that the Omega stone was hidden within Mt. Valmai; the enormous volcano to the immediate north of Lake Rehid. This was extremely convinient for Cyrikus, for the coming of age ceremony for all Tertlam was a journey to this very mountain. He rushed to the Elder in charge of these journeys and gathered Pangeru's ancient armor and weapons. Unfortunately, this journey could only be done safely by crossing the Valmic Desert.
