 The beginning of something wonderful

she walks with me on jammed roads and rain
past parked cars and vehicles rambling in vain
same old places, same faces, the same sunshine
all over again. I complain, she likes them fine
the beginning of something wonderful.

she turns her head behind in odd angles
as she walks in front of me. in her hairs’ tangles
i get lost. She smiles and moves ahead
i keep up, lost in her smile and the music in my head
the beginning of something wonderful.

i try to be brave and look steady into her eyes
the evening turns them its color, brown like the skies
and when i hear them telling me her stories of joy and gloom
i know, it is the beginning, the bloom,
Of something wonderful.
