Black and Blue
stain my skin,
no one sees
behind the veils.

Betrothed to secrecy,
stalked by stares,
I reach for redemption,
I reach for you.

Church bells ring,
I don't hear
any audible traces
of life
within me.

is pounding,
steady,
ringing,
echoing,
it's all I comprehend.

Then your eyes

You see me

I lose my grip,

Rain falls
upwards,
everything goes
black.
The world ends
and repopulates
within a split second.

Convulsions take over,
until all I hear,
is your steady heart.

All I feel is the air,
compressing my bones.

memories,
scattered before me,
everywhere I gaze upon.

Only your footprints,
unscathed,
remain of you.
