Union with the Beloved

When we enter the winter of our life
Many ask - what have we to look foreword to?

The answer is -

This is the time for contemplating
Who we are and where are we going.

We should be studying to understand ourselves.
We should be studying to understand God.
We should be developing greater and deeper love,
Along with compassion for all creation.
We should inwardly bow down to each soul we meet
Knowing we are not superior or separate
Bur are connected to all creation as one.

Now -

If we have been practicing the "Golden Rule."
If we understand the power of love and forgiveness.
If we have developed a compassionate heart
For all those who are hurting.
If we are giving ourselves over
To the practice of selfless service.
If we understand the divine principal
Behind reincarnation -

Then -

If we have been lucky enough to have been initiated
By one of the Great Saints, sent by God,
To guide child humanity back to its true home
And been practicing His meditation techniques
On the light and sound of God

Then

All of our worries are over
As we can hear the Friend say,
"You're many sojourns on the planet earth
Have ended -
As you have earned your Masters Degree
From the University of God."

And -

After millions of years
Wandering these realms of illusion
You find yourself scooped up
Into the loving arms of the Lord,
And realize that if one were to take
All the happiness and joy in this world
And add it all together,
It would not equal one moment
Of the divine embrace of our soul
When reunited with God.
