Guide

Oh cumbersome giant
I see you have lost your fairy guide;
For she leads, with her kin,
All giants in stride, away from
The terrible reign of mankind.

Here you appear, on my lawn,
In the sun, and rather than awe
I begin to see I quite know it all:

The elves in the creek, dancing
In the everglow of true fireflies,
Weaving behind vacant threads of the eye.

Dragons cry tears of joy for the
Goddess of the Great Blue and her
Nimbus mask, true freedom anew.

Tainted demonic voyeurs galore
In the streets that most of us
Fail to call home.

Ghostly ambition to return
To the living and someone quite
Greater opens a door to forever.
I can not see beyond that portal
For

You, mighty giant,
Stand just in the way and
Somehow your smile
Brings a calm, unproclaimed.
