It’s just another election year
Black propaganda is on the rise
"The days go by."
I can’t really fathom why
The science behind politics
Enlighten me.
Every time when election comes
Candidates go out of town
Seekin’ out your precious votes.
Candidates would spend billions
While hungry folks are in the millions
It bothers me.
We’re still crunching on the numbers
When asked on his budget plan
It puzzles me.
It’s just another show of blatant lies
And you still trust this kind of guy
Enlighten me.

Love to play this song---I felt like a dummy when I purchased the music and realized just how easy the chord changes are!
This hits me to a tee as I just left one of the major partys after realizing they are only giving lip service to the issues I care the most about.

I have another song written before this one with a similar tune. I heard this song, Tequila Sunrise in an outdoor concert and just got stucked in my mind, maybe because that night of June 29th this year, we encountered a very strong thunderstorm on our way back home that almost cost our lives.

Thanks for reading and confirming my satire about politicians dkruie... There are exceptions though and they are the statesmen, the true honest-to-goodness politicians. I'm surprised you commented on my early write; very much appreciated!
