A Prayer For My Love
I hope she's ok
With where she is now
As my ends start to fray
And always ask how
I pray she has strength
To help me get through
This journey of length
That I ask of who
I hold her so dearly
And close to my heart
And we know that clearly
We weren't meant to be part
But as time has come
And done what it has
We discover some
Of all that jazz
Of heartbreak and longing
Faithful and true
Begging and pleading
Just to push through
I pray for her safety
I'll see her again
I can't wait for thee
In my arms dearest friend
So soon dear promise
I'll do what I must
You'll know true bliss
And all of this dust
Will be blown away
And then we will see
What truly may
We always should be
I know I have two poems under this title. One is by my girlfriend this one is by me.
