On Animals

Within the fur and claws and tail
The spark of the divine does dwell -
The same spark that enlightens you and me
That makes us move and think and see.
 
And -
 
That is why the Great Saints say,
"A vegetarian diet is the way."
 
Sant Rajinder Singh Ji says,
"Love for all living creatures means
We follow a vegetarian diet,  
Avoiding meat, fish, fowl, and eggs.
 
For -
 
We recognize them as also children
Of the one creator."
