The Reaper

In darkness settles, should death reap not
In nightly rounds
In silence loath the spirit of life
for retribution confounds, and night sing hollow
Reap upon shallow waters, and mirrors
For death was gone, death should cry now
Death is loves only fear
Across frozen ponds and streams, O' loath these dreams
Where darkness settles as a mist or haze
In your eyes, in a dawn pre-light
Death only comes but silently in the night

O' mare, for death has taken you away
To place far away, in a realm beyond today
Where I sit and squander the shallow pond water
Where you tend to fade and die
In my heart, in my psyche
And the sandman cries as I am awake in his daily rounds
O' loath, 'tis only in darkness where death shall reap
Forcing me to never sleep
As I feel, with my ability to hear in the night
Closely death follows behind me
Forever......
