Futile Insanity

As you desperately try to save me
From the black blood
That drives my madness
Allowing me to fight

You find that the water is like ice
You reach out your hand
To grab ahold of mine
To save me from this black puddle
That quickly fills me inside

You call out my name
Hoping my eyes will open up
Hoping that you can save me
But I sink deeper into the raft
Between the loss of oneself
And the birthing of another

I open my mouth only to drown
In the cruelness of the colors
That make up the shady rainbow
On the other side of life

The haunting of the future
That is yet to come
The past is not so bad in comparison
But the moment that is now
Will change us forever
We will never be the same
As we were in our younger days

Time flows passing wisdom
Never to be seen again
The time on the clock
Look good stare hard
Because this moment
Will never come again

But you keep trying
To pull me back to cruel reality
Where the suffering that came
From Pandora's box
Spilled out upon the world
Eating away life till there is no more

This madness in which I am
I don't feel anything
Nothing is around
I am numb in a void
Of my own hateful despair

Stop loving me
I am too far gone
I don't deserve your care
I chose to feel nothing
Over loving you
I will continue sinking
Until I am no more
That's what I want right?
The water begins to soften in color
The black fades with each falling tear
A hands grabs my own
This is a feeling so warm
You desperately tried to save me
Finding that the water is icy cold
But you succeeded in reaching my heart
The one I closed
In it's own sea of futile insanity
