A Dream Forsaken
I shall parish upon the sight of thee,
Like my eyes aflame with words I shant say.
'Tis a deadly poison the name, Mary,
For I wrote thy name in a firey grave.
I shall heed these pains that arise in me,
When thine eyes shall taunt, when I am forsaken.
To find that all I long for is thee,
And guilt from my breath is thee, awaken.
I shall parish upon the sight of thee,
A sink, dost my heart fall upon thy sight.
And the name that is bitter, Mary.
And fall to sleep to take a somber flight.
For when I hear the poisoned name, Mary,
More pains than I can bare arise in me.
