Emotions so overwhelming,
When you feeling so numb
To the memories you have built
Over the years,
The love still burns but not enough,
To keep the warmth of my heart,
Tears shared flooded the heart,
And kept washing of the happiness bit by bit....
Salty waters left us with no taste at all,
Good bye became the only word left to be said,
But it felt like a foreign language,
Because it was so hard to pronounce,
The life we lived as we knew it was just no more...
The sands of time became a feature without warning...
Saying we didn’t try make it work would just,
Be a colourful lie...
Sometimes love can never hold on to someone,
Without assistance,
Time stops for no heart, emotions like natural disasters...
No predictions really, this was never a game...
