From Darkness to the Light
Sitting alone with no one around
Then suddenly my head began to pound
In pain I tangled my fingers in my hair
I figured no one would even care
Tears began to pour
As something creaked across the floor
Then you leapt from the dark to my side
You pulled me into your arms to hide
Sheltered there I felt safe and sound
I knew you’d protect from everything around
You stroked my head and kissed my hair
I thought ‘maybe she did care..’
You pull me in tighter
And I feel my tears get lighter
You said it was getting late..that I should sleep
That it was you I could forever keep
I couldn’t resist
Your smile had no mischievous twist
So I did as requested
I snuggled in as suggested
I began to doze away
When your arms began to sway
Then my words began to stutter
Three tiny words you did mutter
My head surged in pain
And once again the tears did rain
Then I all the mess you eyes met mine
I swear I saw them shine
My eyes closed slowly and perhaps for maybe to long
Then your lips met mine but I felt no wrong
The last thing expected
The secret we both protected
The love no one knew
The one even we had had no clue…
Who would've thought
That light is what you brought
Then suddenly my head began to pound
In pain I tangled my fingers in my hair
I figured no one would even care
Tears began to pour
As something creaked across the floor
Then you leapt from the dark to my side
You pulled me into your arms to hide
Sheltered there I felt safe and sound
I knew you’d protect from everything around
You stroked my head and kissed my hair
I thought ‘maybe she did care..’
You pull me in tighter
And I feel my tears get lighter
You said it was getting late..that I should sleep
That it was you I could forever keep
I couldn’t resist
Your smile had no mischievous twist
So I did as requested
I snuggled in as suggested
I began to doze away
