The Perfect One

I've only known you for a little,
But still, I know that we are going to last.
I know that you are a "makeshift" forbidden fruit,

But I don't care.

You may be from a different world,
But you're mine nontheless.
And I'm yours. We've shared so much already.
I've let so many bad ones go,
And I WON'T let the same thing happen to the one good one.
People say that we won't work.
But so what?
They don't know you like I do.
We will work. I promise you that.
You have my word.
If you listen to the haters,
They will tell you that my word means nothing,

But I don't care.

I long for you all day.
And I am pissed that I fall asleep on you every night.
I know you don't care, but it still worries me.
You could leave me at any time,
And not look back.
But I know that you wouldn't.
And for that, I love everything about you.
I say I don't care, and that's true.
I don't care. About anything but you.

This is to you, Zion.
