Memory's Addiction
Oh memory,
don't deny me...
Let me once more behold
tiny wrinkles
outside
of sapphire eyes,
formed by
the glorious arrival
of a drug-induced smile...
Oh memory,
don't evade me...
In the moonlit world
of fog and mist,
I pound my fist
for one last
toke...
through her mouth,
and tongue,
and lips,
that fire which
has turned to smoke...
Oh memory,
don't haunt me...
Must I chronically endure
shimmering reflections
on midnight waves
of pure
bliss,
that crashes
the waning kiss
upon the shore,
to leave me swarming
with the echoing ripples
of a calm
moonless mourning?
I shake with withdrawals...
Leave me be!
Oh memory...
don't deny me...
Let me once more behold
tiny wrinkles
outside
of sapphire eyes,
formed by
the glorious arrival
of a drug-induced smile...
Oh memory,
don't evade me...
In the moonlit world
of fog and mist,
I pound my fist
for one last
toke...
through her mouth,
and tongue,
and lips,
that fire which
has turned to smoke...
Oh memory,
don't haunt me...
Must I chronically endure
shimmering reflections
on midnight waves
of pure
bliss,
that crashes
the waning kiss
upon the shore,
to leave me swarming
with the echoing ripples
of a calm
moonless mourning?
I shake with withdrawals...
Leave me be!
Oh memory...
