Never Known

 A lost bond of two together
The one true part that joins them entirely
Yet that loss binds them longer
In ways of knowing their love is stronger.

It stayed unknown until already gone
But both fighting its ripple effect
A worthlessness dwelling, that's only now
Remedied through their love somehow.

Unplanned misery taken and changed
Blink and its lost within a painful past
What if's and maybe's scratch at the mind
Creating a reality that got left behind.

A package of two, and two halves of one
They share the heartbreak equally
But no one told them how hard it would be
When you lose a baby you'd never see.
