Everything Ends

I'm going through my past
and erasing your name.
Maybe by forgetting you
I can forget the pain.

I've hidden every photo
stashed every verse you wrote
stowed away the trinkets
washed your scent from my coat.

I loved you once but nevermore
The raven can't dwell in the past
I forgive your sins
I forgive what didn't last.

You've shown me many things
And I still consider you a friend
I don't want to remeber you as more
I know, everything ends
