Where I've Kissed You
Oh my love, the many places I've kissed you
Each time secures a special place in my mind, heart and soul
My long list begins with our unexpected first kiss on the floor in front of your couch
When two coworkers and friends nervously crossed the threshold into early, uncertain love
Passionate tongues kissing French late in Le Metro all alone
Right before all the lights went out, then continuing on in anxious darkness
Dangling in the sky on a ski lift in Vermont on a subzero, blustery day
As the snow lightly dusted our heads and shoulders although I have never been so warm
Up and down your slender neck and tender earlobes
While I stood behind you pressing against you with firmed desire
On the flight line scared and nervous, tears streaming
As I proudly sent you off to war and when I returned triumphantly home
The many times I've kissed your secret sinful lips
Red downy hair tickling my nose while savoring salty sweetness
Gently as I looked into your eyes after our day long lover's pilgrimage to Agra
As the setting sun had worked it's colorful, vibrant magic on the Taj Mahal
On the top of your head as my warm arms enfolded you
The many times you've needed me to just be there
In my stepdaughters' hospital rooms filled with flowers and joy
Each time one of our grandchildren was born
Finally, just now, playfully on your pixie nose as you're being cute and silly
Thanking you for all the love, passion, and happiness you bring me
Each time secures a special place in my mind, heart and soul
My long list begins with our unexpected first kiss on the floor in front of your couch
