Life losing its rhyme
When you set yourself up for disappointment all the time
Your life starts to lose its rhyme
And you just don't care
And you start choking on the air
And you start to just stay in your room
And keep wondering how soon
You'll set yourself up again
And wonder why you can't win
And it just keeps going in that cycle for all your life
And you never even attempt to make it right
You just let it go like that
Hoping you'll be able to hide your face under a hat
So no one can see your shame
And see that you're to blame
You'll never stand up for yourself
So you stay like a book on a shelf
And you keep setting yourself up for disappointment all the time
And pretty soon, you see your life losing its rhyme
Your life starts to lose its rhyme
And you just don't care
And you start choking on the air
And you start to just stay in your room
And keep wondering how soon
You'll set yourself up again
And wonder why you can't win
And it just keeps going in that cycle for all your life
And you never even attempt to make it right
You just let it go like that
Hoping you'll be able to hide your face under a hat
So no one can see your shame
And see that you're to blame
You'll never stand up for yourself
So you stay like a book on a shelf
And you keep setting yourself up for disappointment all the time
And pretty soon, you see your life losing its rhyme
