Everyone Has A Secret

 
I remember times in my life  
of which have branded me from all the pain and strife.  
From every act of cruelty;  
I hold a secret so dear-  
Which is why I hide it; From fear  
of what others may say.  
 
Aspects of my life are a secret  
that holds all truths in disguise.  
Everything I do and say is a surprise.  
All I wish to do is escape  
from this virose maze;  
To live in Happiness.  
But not everyone receives their  
deepest wishes and desires.  
Which is why some commit crimes that conspire  
The truth and demolish all happiness deep past the root.  
 
My name is ____ and I am a poet.  
Everyone owns a secret;  
And Everyone is afraid to show it.
