The burning sun

The sun burns me deep
Hurts me terribly
Like embers from a fresh fire
Thrown on my eyes
And an icepick
Thrust in my head
The pain
Alternates
Burning
Stabbing
Heat
Peircing
Till it becomes to much
And I stumble backwards
Into cool darkness.
The shade feels so sweet,
So calm and refreshing
The darkness keeps
Me safe in it's grasp
From the gaze
Of the bright burning sun.
