Every time you black my eyes

Every time you black my eyes,
I look away, hid it in disguise
Not wanting to believe
That you could do this to me
Because I stand above you, right?
It's really not hard to comprehend
The bridges you've burned and the faith you fend
Nothing could be sacred
When you beat out an explanation
Just like me
You held me down and blackened my eyes until I gave you the key
I could keep up, pretending like I don't know
But that's all talk, not much to show
Because, I do know
I know that to you it's all just a show
But the same bridges you've burned,
Are the only ones that could get you across and be safe
I figured by now you'd have already learned,
I suppose I was wrong, maybe that's what fuels my hate
I thought you rose above that
Guess I over looked that one little fact
You inspire a hate that could not be brought on alone
It gets me where I live, and now I make it my home
And with each hit I take from you
It just strengthens the brew
Every time you black my eyes,
I look away, hide it in disguise
Not wanting to believe
That you could do this to me
Because, I stand above you.
