Your Head
Stay in your head
For as long as you’d like to
A day will be a year
In a place so vast
Hang your head
And leave your shell
Look around and decide
If it’s worth the wait
Pray in your head
So all think you’re still lost
But things must be found
From the depths of your soul
Bang your head
Against the wall you built
To never escape isolation
Would really be paradise?
Lay your head
Upon my shoulder
Tell me if you need
Or want something more
Explain to your head
That you need a chance
To do things right
Your heart isn’t cutting it
Disobey your head
For your heart’s in control
It’s made so many mistakes
Bruised and used
Drain your head
Of yourself, of the curse
You put upon your shoulder
To eat away at you
For as long as you’d like to
A day will be a year
In a place so vast
Hang your head
And leave your shell
Look around and decide
If it’s worth the wait
Pray in your head
So all think you’re still lost
But things must be found
From the depths of your soul
Bang your head
Against the wall you built
To never escape isolation
Would really be paradise?
Lay your head
Upon my shoulder
Tell me if you need
Or want something more
Explain to your head
That you need a chance
To do things right
Your heart isn’t cutting it
Disobey your head
For your heart’s in control
It’s made so many mistakes
Bruised and used
Drain your head
Of yourself, of the curse
You put upon your shoulder
To eat away at you
