LIVE CAUTOUSLY AND CONSCIOUSLY
Many times, we are worth much more than we, or others think
many times, we think we know those we associate with
many times, we despise those that love and appreciate us
we ignore those that truly care about us
we abuse all that really matter to us, what is actually important, what matters most
We smile, make merry and rejoice in our stupidity and ignorance throwing all caution to the wind, for we don't care at all,or so we think, we build castles in the air.
Time passes by and we loose it all, one by one, piece by piece, let it go we say with a swagger,"i don't give a damn!"
That is the mouth talking but deep inside we are a little unhappy
Reality gradually sets in.We actually loved, appreciated and cared about whatever it was that we lost.
We may even smile to save our face but deep inside we are dying a slow painful death.That is when regret sets in,"i wish i knew!" we lament.
Oh yes, we damn well did, but we stubbornly refused to listen to voice of reason.
Lament we shall, only then its too late
