shadowed streets
As I walked along this street filled with shadows
I was struck from behind
I yelped with pain and surprise
As I fell to the ground I turned to face the mysterious man
He was dressed in a leather jacket and black skinnies
He was holding some kind of pistol I think it was a desert eagle
He leant down and looked into my eyes
He wasn’t expecting what I did next
I grabbed him by the arm and twisted the gun from his ice cold fingertips
I pulled him to the ground and stood above him
I tried to study his face, to see if I recognised him
But I couldn’t see his face it was all blurred
As if it was to complicated for the human eye to comprehend
What happened next was far beyond mortal
It was as if his whole face had split in half
A mouth came out of the middle of his face followed by rows of teeth
I thought I was going to die
I ran across the road to where the gun had landed when It flew out of his hands
I picked it up
I reminisced back to what my dad had taught me as a kid
"if you shoot, you shoot to kill"
I cocked the gun and switched the safety off
As the strange creature sprinted at me I took a shot at it
It didn’t even flinch
So I shot and shot and shot
It staggered back and let out a fierce roar it's decaying breath hitting me from across the street
It picked up pace and ran at me again
Getting closer and closer each second
I took a deep breath
I aimed down my sights
And fired
The strange creature shrieked
Regained it's footing and continued to edge closer
I had one bullet left
I fired once again
I felt as if time had completely slowed down
I saw the bullet fly across the road and hit the creature right in the head
It let out a cry of pain and fell to the pavement and somehow regained the form of a human
As I saw the sun setting I walked back across this shadowed street
I was struck from behind
I yelped with pain and surprise
As I fell to the ground I turned to face the mysterious man
