Question Everything

now its time for me to get
a little political
as I question why we aren't
more analytical
when it comes to the news
and what the government says
some of that shit
should be turning heads
we take it for face value
and to easily trust
but to engage in true democracy
we always must
gather up the facts
and look from both points of view
debate and share opinions
to find out what is true
because authority often puts
on a different mask
in order to accomplish
each new task
and when monetary gain
is a driving factor
no one wants to take the blame
as our economy shatters
we are the 99%
and its time to WAKE UP
the third world war is waging
in your head and in your gut
you can feel it now lets push
an intellectual revolution
on the brink about to enter
a new level of evolution
so turn off your television
and tune into your heart
worldly brothers and sisters
its time to take charge
at no other time
have we been so connected
but mass media lies
and we've all been infected
by illusions of safety
so lets leave our comfort zones
when we rally together
we don't have to act alone
a united voice
they'll have to hear what we say
because we all have a choice
to make choices our own way!
