Hollow Heart
Safe inside this hollowed out heart,
I curl, into myself like an infant.
These Walls an arms width apart,
Unexpectedly I shiver in this vacant
Vastness , these echoes grow faint.
Shuddering in thier seclusions
These fist clenched heart beats do taint
The last drumming of our epitaths illisusions
This was once a love song.
Alll the empty dust sugared places,
Hidden away all heart wrong.
Where you, I, us, who we were before
Our love, this ache, and this still open door.

it caught my attention by the echoed narrative voice, strong images of curling into yourself like an infant; empty dust sugared places; clenched heart. brings up the feeling of being stuck standing on one spot while all the doors around you are being opened. also there is sense of nostalgia in this poem and strong desire to bring past memories again into reality. enjoyed it
