My Light
My light shimmers bright,
My light pierces the night.
My light fills me with joy,
And tells me I'm not just another boy.
My light is as golden as her pure heart,
My light is really sweet,
Even when she's being tart.
My light loves me,
And I love her back.
I know when I falter,
She'll pick up the slack.
Because my light is strong,
And won't go out in any storm.
But my light is gentle,
With a touch both firm, and tender.
My light is beautiful,
And I won't look away,
On that far off day,
When I lay my eyes on her beautiful face.
My light pierces the night.
My light fills me with joy,
And tells me I'm not just another boy.
My light is as golden as her pure heart,
My light is really sweet,
Even when she's being tart.
My light loves me,
And I love her back.
I know when I falter,
She'll pick up the slack.
Because my light is strong,
And won't go out in any storm.
But my light is gentle,
With a touch both firm, and tender.
My light is beautiful,
And I won't look away,
On that far off day,
When I lay my eyes on her beautiful face.
