Shopping Cart

Your gentle touch had the power to bring life into my wheels.
You softly gripped my handle bar and made me fall head over heels.
I like how you stay close to me and never let me stray.
I love the way you protect me, when others try to take me away.
You can push me around and drag me through the crowd.
So, I can escape from this lifetime of enslavement that I am vowed.
I start to shed a tear, as the check stand becomes near, because all
I can do is adhere whatever I am told my dear.
Even though the time we spend is coming to a end.
I'm glad because you've became my only real friend.
Now that we're finally together, you can help me leave this place I call hell.
Whisk me away to your vehicle and I can finally bid this place farewell.
Quickly, load up your goods and then make some room for me.
Wait! Where are you going? Why did you leave me here by this tree?
Please! I want to go with you! I don't want to stay.
Don't go! Come back! They'll take me away!
Damn it! I've been denied.
You took me for a ride.
You were just pushing me around.
I took all of your crap, that you have fucking found.
You choose me, just to used me, then you put me back.
I guess I'm no different from the others in the pack.
Even though I'm made of steel, I still have a heart.
But, to you! I guess I'm just a shopping cart.
