No, She doesn't need an interpreter
Why don’t you pull your stocks up, they are around your ankles again?
Where did she get “stocks” from? Short for stockings or socks maybe?
When she tells you to ”Put that dirty knife into the bosh”, we know she doesn’t mean you to stab some German fella, but to simply place it in the kitchen sink with the rest of the dirty dishes.
Her son drives her around everywhere she wants to go in his car and when he changed it recently, she was asked what car does he have now?
“Oh I’m not sure what it is, all I know is it’s a hunchback”.
Working every morning in the local pub for some “Pin Money”, she said to a friend how extra busy she had been that morning.
“I had to take all the glasses down off the shelves behind the bar to clean the big mirror, so I thought I may as well clean all the optrex while I’m at it”.
“When you are going to the warricol (bank), call in the shop and pick up a loaf of bread”.
“I was talking to warricol (a persons name) the other day and she told me her daughter is pregnant again”.
“Can you pass me that warricol”.(any item pointed at)
“Warricol “replaces any object, person, place, or any thing that the name of which doesn’t immediately come to mind during her conversation.
The amazing thing is, everyone seems to know exactly who or what she is referring to. But we still love you Mam.
