Recluse statement and restraint heart
I always assumed your rejection
Right from the start.
Persistent and concerned
Showing all signs of vulnerability
So exposed and open
Living in this paranoid insanity.
I get no reaction
From said man
For the sake of my aching heart
I keep quiet and nothing happens
Neither of us gives indication of action.
I’m dreadfully anxious
What about you?
Are you just like me
Aware yet nevertheless cautious?
We’ve created a state of mind
No one moves
So tell me love,
Are we afraid or just appallingly blind?

I loved this. The way it flows, how you portray the thought. You lift the reader out of their shoes with your words and place them into yours..
