Power

It was me
who managed
to always luck out.
I've never been punished adequetly
for anything in my life.
I'm the one who never
faces the consequences.
I'll never
get the short end of the stick
unless it comes to
personal relationships,
then I never lose
but never win either.
So i guess its kind of a checks-and-balance system.
Since everything else
goes fan-freaking-tastic
I guess something has to suck.
Yet I never lose.
Never have I got what's coming to me.
I've always managed to outrun that.
One day I'll have to rest,
but not yet.
I'm not ready to end this marathon yet.
I know I'll win.
Even when everything catches up to me,
I'll duck it and still
get the gold.
