There’s something beautiful about rain on my window panes
So I’d sit here, bring the seat back and watch it all run down these dirty drains
Reach over my backseat for a blanket, for this is where I’d spend tonight
Lay here in my drivers chair and watch the clouds form forms of you in the air.
And then daddy calls and screams come home and I whisper I’ll be there.
I look away as you stare, you must not see me shed that tear.
For Im bound by laws of manhood to hide from you the effect of you
You must not know that leaving you is an anathema no man would face
And should we try love I swear, our lives and time we would just waste.
I dreamt of this when I was ten, when to my bed I paid liquid rent
Of how she won’t mind keeping me safe, from the icy cold outside
But darling please beware…tonight I’d race you till you purr
Into the pool and out we’ll go... you my arrow and me your bow
The nights a blur as we fly past, retractable glass roof blocks out the rain
And somehow u keep little irrelevant pieces of what was near before
So I touch the essence of the owner of my heart as we wait for the light to change
And then somehow you play that song and to her I race like mummy bear to a cub
And whisper breathes of holy fires that leave her wanting more than she’ll ever need
But then the light turns green, and that fools horn snaps me back into this seat
But I shan’t despair for I’m with the other her,
And away into the night we shall race, like a jackal to his lair.
We are a symbol of perfection; I fit so well with these two…
But this is not fiction or prose, just a memory I was dying to share
Of the night it rained beauty drops, and I drove my dear, to see my dear.
