In the time before creation the souls of the world hung as twinkling stars
Never having form of body or sight of eyes
In the time before creation the souls of the world had no knowledge
And the order went forth so they knew each other all
In the time before creation the souls of the world learned to like and dislike whom they knew
After the fashioning they each encountered some whom they knew and liked and disliked
In the time after the creation the souls of the world sought each other with no knowledge
Seeking to find that which would complete and bring them closer to where they had been
In the time after the creation the souls of the world began to find each other with certain knowledge
Never before knowing the form of the person but recognizing what was within from a time long before
In the time after the creation the souls of the world understood that they were always just one of two
To learn the power of joining, to create the beautiful from separate ideas, to believe and to love.
