Move Me!
Hear my cry! Please, Lord turn to the sound
Chain me down with weights of steel;
Bend these knees till they touch the ground
And haunt this being with the pain you feel!
Force up these hands, demand your praise,
Drench this face with tears for the lost;
Enrapture these thoughts, clear the haze
And make me a captive through holy costs!
Lock me behind bars, silence that reigns,
Teach me to be patient, wait for you,
Correct my wandering feet with pain
A broken path you lovingly drew.
Drag me into the refinery of flames
Cast this form into the raging fires,
Let it burn away all my shames
Until I have formed a faith that never tires!
Pull me from these waters that disguise
Break my heart till it moves my hands and feet
Let the tempest ever rise
Strike this frozen thing until it begins to beat!
Lord! This soul is incomplete!
Force my hand with the raging storm,
Show me the way, myself to defeat,
So that a follower of Christ can be born!
Chain me down with weights of steel;
Bend these knees till they touch the ground
And haunt this being with the pain you feel!
Force up these hands, demand your praise,
Drench this face with tears for the lost;
Enrapture these thoughts, clear the haze
And make me a captive through holy costs!
Lock me behind bars, silence that reigns,
Teach me to be patient, wait for you,
Correct my wandering feet with pain
A broken path you lovingly drew.
Drag me into the refinery of flames
Cast this form into the raging fires,
Let it burn away all my shames
Until I have formed a faith that never tires!
Pull me from these waters that disguise
Break my heart till it moves my hands and feet
Let the tempest ever rise
Strike this frozen thing until it begins to beat!
Lord! This soul is incomplete!
Force my hand with the raging storm,
Show me the way, myself to defeat,
So that a follower of Christ can be born!
