Haikus

Did deepen those pools
Of muddy constellation
Tirades love the sound

Corrupt the willing
Crystal reserves empathy
To blue skies above

Formed by rivers swift
Changed little by mortal minds
The blood of the earth

Music, rhythm fly
Striking an unhearing ear
Passion takes control

Monotony speech
Circles overhead, behind
Brain's listening skills

Color, is it real?
Or would the tree say 'Yes, Ma'am'?
Just a sense of mind

Cell phone rings, rings, rings,
Anticipation flutters
Voice of my music

Cup of water chilled,
Crisp as the apple's first bite
Crosses parched lips

Sleep, she wanders far
Through the screaming nights of rain,
Pain of containment

I wandered the trail
Its silence she screams at me
And terror he laughed

What can’t you not find
Shrouded in nightingale wine,
All covered in gray?

It forms a stripped J
Red, white, and candy delight
Sticky fingers form

Round and round it goes
In a circle does it flow
The meri-go-round

Bouncing of the ball
Smile’s play, a child’s day
Sidewalks have no end
