Fake

Waiting for the truth in a world full of lies
laughing and smiling, a terrible disguise
fake is what we've all become
how pathetic, so friggin dumb
you smile and i know its not real
why do you do that, what's your deal?
saddened by this state of affairs
shaking my head knowing no one cares
wondering why we try so hard to fit in
while covered in makeup from forehead to chin
painted on masks we all choose to wear
while feeling so helpless lost in despair
