3am; Purple
I am so tired; seeing purple
3am and I’m thinking of you
It’s time I retired; rolling in circles
What the fuck did we do?
Because I should be sleeping
But I’ll be far from breathing
When you finally start believing
That losing you is the only reason why I’m grieving
And you can’t say that you didn’t
That you didn’t feel it too
Maybe if we weren’t human
We could dismiss the truth
What we had was more than safe
What we had was real
I’ve still got your love to chase
And you’ve got mine to steal
Cover distance, cover space
What’s the lessons learned?
I could never look you in the face
And tell you that I hadn’t been burned
You are better than the latter
Yeah you come in first
Cry as my heart pitter-patters
And as my body thirsts
Where’s your love now, where’s your love?
Contain your wandering eye
Where’s your soul now, baby tell me
Why’d you have to lie?
