doomed from the beginning
I knew this even before we shared kind words
and then deeper words
I can't override my pessimistic nature
keep that piece of my heart I gave you
for as long as you can hang on to it
with your hands or heart
and I will take good care of what you've given me
especially if you leave this world
I know the pain in the chest
as I've stated before
is because the person whose left
goes into your heart
and you have to get used to the shift of weight
but at least you know
they're always with you
but I'll understand if you take your own life
this world has dragged you through a hell
most couldn't stand as long as you have
I've never given up on the idea myself
suicide has a romance all it's own
if you go visit me in my dreams
be the wind that touches my skin
like you were never able to
and remind of those three words
when the train passes by in the distance
that you wanted to hear so badly
laying next to me in my bed
