Don't know
if she's real or not,
but damn
that online girl is hot
how she talks
and her avatar
is smoking on
some distant star
with her
I'd go very far
she's my dreamy
Avatar.

Now I'm older
but she's not
pictures need
to change their spot
and recompense
the newest phase
just to keep
that online blaze.

Making changes
in my life
I'm off to college
laptop near…
want to keep
my angel near.

7 years since
first we met
still the same
sweet superstar
a million words
and lifetime hours
I've wrestled with
and taken showers.

13 now
and life's debris
doth overtake
and bury me
and still
my ever-faithful
clown
is not a city
gone to town,
ghostly in her daily rants
of tired juried
sycophants.

27 years gone by
and Avatar is lazy
often she has missed a day
and speaking has gone hazy.
Maybe if she'd speak to me
I'd cheer her up
and set her free
of this constant malady
of speech that rambles
as the rend
that breaks the stems
with springtime wind
of her cheery
speechless friend
the Shasta
white faced clown
the daisy.

32 years have come to an end
with news not now devastating
not that I'm so pleased relating
that angels often come at times
when we most need their help,
but I could use a friend too late
I've written this instead,
my Avatar, Fred Barnes, it said
has at his computer
been found dead.
Near him in huge stacks
it seems
were found 10 million
printed words
from me.
If you are reading this
I know,
off to meet my star,
I have heard her voice last,
my sweet time Avatar.
