Our Annihilation

the breeze is deadly soft
the water pulls itself back
children run
fascinated by this phenomena

I'm shivering
not from cold
but from fear

I'm cowering
not from you
but a thirty foot wall of tears
it's crashing down on us

that salty breeze may smell good
but never be fooled
it just wants to sweep us away
sweep us away

the rain upon the earth
the powerful winds of devastation
tearing away what we had desecrated
for so long

watch our nation disappear
run away now while all is clear
go as far as you can
and never look back
upon our annihilation

our end is upon us
I let myself fall back
into the sea so vast
as I drown in the abyss
I know there is nothing to miss
because it'll all be gone
