The gracious yeti
The tent I was staying in quickly proved itself to be unworthy.
Rain from the sides, wet from the feet to the knees from my sleeping bag.
It was only Thursday and spirits were low among my comrades.
One of them known as junior to some and yeti to others decided to leave.
He was abandoning his tent and air mattress and offered them to me.
A free upgrade akin to moving from a damp squat to a five star hotel!
The luxury of space; of warmth; of comfort.
A glorious turn up from the ashes of what was disappointment.
Yeti's sacrifice was not in vain.
It shall be remembered.
If our paths cross again, praise shall be extolled in abundance.
Thank you, yeti. Many, many thanks.
