You smell so good,
You look so fine,
Your voice is like music,
You're sublime.
Your smile makes me grin,
Your laugh makes me roar,
Your walk makes me remember
What I write poetry for.
Your mind is original,
Your thought is so true,
Your words make think
I could really like you.
You are a dream,
So beautiful,
An angel in my eyes,
I'm secretly hoping you're an animal in disguise.

Now re-read this to yourself and imagine morris dancers ringing the bells on their toes around the maypole. See what I'm getting at? It's almost a soulless ode to someone who no doubt deserves much more originality if what you state is true. I can only imagine a female MC at high school handing in a piece of work which she vocalised over the top of an old 90's dance track. Scrub it. If you want to pay a compliment, drop the rhyming dictionary to the floor and let it come.
