Bittersweet Sixteen - Alone In Her Bed
I've seen her pleasantly grow older
And my eyes are happy to behold her
But I'm afraid to say what I want to tell her
My hands want to touch her and my arms want to hold her
She changes a little everyday
And looking better in every way
But with more than eight years between us
Would love between us be disastrous?
How can I ignore what I can't deny?
I can't pretend no matter how I try
I lie here in her bed but she is unaware
Dakin's gotta go, I wanna be her cuddly bear
I wonder will this come as a surprise
Or can she see through my disguise?
Are we too far apart? Perhaps we've grown too close
Can friendship survive the truth or is love too high a dose?
